WASHINGTON -(Dow Jones)- U.S. legislators have obtained a court order unsealing documents in a case involving a multi-million-dollar cap-and-trade fraud.
Republican legislators say the records--due to be opened to the public in early January--could shed light on the potential challenges of policing a new, trillion-dollar commodities market that would be created under climate legislation that Congress is considering.

Why do we care about crap and tax fraud policing when the concept of man-made global warming itself is a fraud? Idiots.

When dealing with people who deal in thin air, its best to assume there will be some fraud involved.

Will this expose Al Gore’s ‘Bernie Madoff’ carbon credit scam, too?

I’m hoping it exposes more than just Gore but most of the democraps who want to pass tis based on the fraud!

Yeah, right!! It will not make a difference. The cap and trade will pass just as the health bill has almost reached the President's desk. American voices means nothing to the communists Party (formally the Democratic Party) with King Obama as their leader.

Except there will be one major difference between cap-and-trade and the Obamacare bill. Mary Landrieu will not vote for the former. Louisiana is to much of a energy producing state and to many jobs would be lost. The Dems will have to find a Republican to replace her.

Sholtz, who helped design a small California cap-and-trade program, allegedly hustled New York Investment firm AG Clean Air out of more than $12 million between 1999 and 2001 by selling fake emission credits.
Despite an estimated $50 million to $80 million in claims against her in bankruptcy filings and nine complaints, she pleaded guilty to one of six counts of wire fraud in 2005. Sholtz received what the lawmakers say was a veritable slap on the wrist for the felony--a sentence of five years probation with one year of home detention. Why did the EPA only charge her with a relatively minor wire fraud count, and ignore the Ponzi scheme she was running. (The slap on the wrist was actually the most severe sentence she could have recieved on that one count.) Did she indeed give information on rampant corruption within RECLAIM and the South Coast Air Quality Management District? What is EPA doing with that information? Is it being suppressed? Why did it take years to sentence her. Etc, etc. Good for Barton and Walden for sticking with this.
More here and here.
