Feb makes it real difficult now doesn’t it? Primaries in May only 3 months beyond? Start of campaign season? Where are their votes then,when the public is turning their eyes towards the mid terms?
I don't believe the founders envisioned primaries, but they brilliantly foresaw the big picture, didn't they?
