Coburn forced the the reading of a 767-page single-payer amendment from Bernie Sanders. When did anything else get read in full? Linky please.

The Reid amendment of 300+ pages was read the other day. Coburn forced that reading also.

Sanders pulled his amendment. It was not read in full.

I don’t think they can force the reading of the entire 2K page bill because Reid took a bill that was about something entirely different that had already originated in the House and had been debated on the floor of the Senate, removed all the text and replaced it with his current bill.

The reading of the original bill had already been waived, so it couldn’t be forced after Reid substituted his text.

I’ll stand corrected by someone with better knowledge of it all, but that’s my impression.
