Good Point.

Interpol breaks down the door of an American and said American, fearing for his life, shoots and kills 3 chumps. Oops, they are part of the International Police Corp.

American is arrested and charged with something like manslaughter(what is the charge for killing some international thug, who broke into your house?)

American law says you get to confront your accuser and all the information leading to it, in discovery.

Interpol claims immunity and now what happens to the case?

Is the American hauled off to the Haig or ICC with approval from the U.S. government?

Well, my take would be upon discovering the idiots were from interpol, said American grabs his bug out bag, extra ammo, and two of his closest like-minded friends...... and well, I'm sure you can figure out the rest. It's better than going bankrupt trying to defend against tyrany in a court controlled by tyrants.

Men with nothing to die for or kill for also have nothing to live for.....nor do they deserve the security provided by others.

S.S.S.

I think I just changed my thinking on “safe room, announce I have a gun, and the police are on the way.” Someone coming in, it’s now, ID the threat, neutralize it, ID the threat for political purposes, and then apply the other 2 S’s as necessary.

“Interpol claims immunity “

Then American goes to court and claims they are not a member of the political corps of a nation but a law enforcement agency and cannot be held unaccountable.

Good question, one I'm sure Obama could answer without a second thought. That being said though, if people started getting hauled off to Hague/ICC even our RINO reps would raise hell. The greater likelihood (and the reason it's good to be in the USA) is that you could demand a trial by jury which would by and large no-bill you.

That’s the problem when the rule of law is abandoned; whatever seems good at the time takes its place. We cannot now say what would happen, and this has a chilling effect on our activities.

FWIW, I’ve always thought the Hague would be a perfect royal or imperial palace. The High Court meets in what would be the Chapel (sitting in place of the altar, of course). They meet in silk robes with long Calvinist collars, and, I believe, white wigs. There is something painfully beautiful in the continuance of the forms after the animating spirit is passed. It is a pageant of spectres whose glory is silenced.
