To: Michael van der Galien

The WH line is already passing the buck, stating that the ornaments were part of an invitation to local artists to decorate the tree and that the WH had no knowledge of the specific offerings.

My response to this (other than BOLLOCKS!, of course) is: Soooo, it didn’t occur to *anyone* to screen the offerings in case something inappropriate for the WH came up> I mean, what if it there had been a Swastika-themed offering? Or a depiction of the KKK or the picture of some famous serial killer?

At best, we’ve got amateur hour at the WH again, folks. At best.

Like someone from the Whitehouse did not decorate the tree? Righttt. I guess they just let strangers come in and do it? Well maybe.
