How could unsupervised exposure to violence during a child’s formative years possibly have any effect on their fragile little minds?

For starters, you grossly and ignorantly exaggerate both the amount and extent of violence in video games, as well as the access to thereof. In that respect, you're not really any different than those in the 1930s, 40s, and 50s who vilified comic books. They were wrong, and so are you.

Being aware of the problem doesn’t equate to ignorance.

At no point did I declare any particular amount or extent of violence that any particular video games have, so please explain how I exaggerated it.

I was born in '44 and I do not recall any instances of the vilification of comic books. Who did it?
