You claimed that violent video games were at least in part responsible for the assault in the news story that began this thread. I requested that you back this assertion up with detail in the form of the video games that the assaulters supposedly played. You, being unable to substantiate your post, began to obfuscate the point as a form of defense, just as you've continued to do up through your most recent reply.

You are making an unconnected and unreasonable demand and you know it.

Her *failure* (for lack of a better term) to meet the unrealistic demands you make, that NOBODY could meet, is no evidence of anything but your petty, immature, don't have anything better to do than harass someone on the internet, mind games.

Why are YOU making such an issue of one random comment that some one made on an internet forum?

What's your connection to this issue that's leaving you so hypersensitive to it all?

Hmm. That's what I've been wondering.

Yip, yip, yelp.

You are making an unconnected and unreasonable demand and you know it.

If the assertion is that video games are responsible for teaching the assaulters that it is okay to be violent, then it should be relatively simple to name this mystery game. That is not unreasonable. In fact, it's a key supporting detail of the entire argument. If it exists, it has a name. What is that name?

What's your connection to this issue that's leaving you so hypersensitive to it all?

I would argue that you are the one demonstrating hypersensitivity, inasmuch as you weren't even originally part of this subdiscussion to begin with. But to answer your question, it is bad when people are wrong, and it is worse to allow them to remain wrong. BykrBayb would be just as wrong if she had claimed mind control rays from UFOs had influenced the behavior of the thugs who attacked this kid.

There was no mysterious work of fiction that taught these kids how to be violent. Certainly, BykrBayb cannot name this dastardly video game, because it doesn't exist. You want to know why middle and high school kids are increasingly violent? Google for "thug culture," not "Xbox 360."
