As usual, much of the history concerning The Messiah is never discussed. This masterpiece was written to be performed during Lent, not Christmas ..and the much loved Hallelujah chorus is not a celebration of Christs birth, but is a celebration of the final destruction of the nation of Israel. During Handels time, and among some today, the destruction of Jerusalem and the Second Temple in 70 A.D. was viewed as an act of God in His wrath against the Jews for their rejection of His Messiah.
Hallelujah!!!!!!
sorry ...”Jews” not “Jew’s”....
Remember, back in the 50s, 60s, and even into the 70s, there were a lot of democrats who actually loved America and supported the military. The dems in Chicago certainly knew how to deal with leftists during the 1968 dem convention. And don't forget that there used to be dems like Henry "Scoop" Jackson. It's amazing just how much things have changed.

especially with that cowboy hat!
My apologies, ma’am if I offended. It’s been my experience that there’s a bit of leeway given for frivolity, but I acknowledge my remark may have been a little over the line. My wife and daughters are all conservative Christian women and I have nothing but the highest regard for them. Have a blessed and merry Christmas.

Thank you.
