I'm enjoying reading Chinese news sites like ChinaDaily.com and ShanghaiDaily.com lately. Not only do they report more accurately - in excellent English - on American news than our own beloved MSM, but they occasionally come out with articles like this one, showing a level of critical analysis of the Communist government's petty nobility (if not the senior officals yet) that is long absent from our own news outlets. One can scarcely imagine an article like this appearing in in the US media today...unless the targets were all Southern Christian Conservative Republicans. :)

From what I understand China is becoming more and more Christian, although overt free churches are not legal.
I am watching with interest. I have a philosophy that true Christianity breeds a free government, and as you become more secular or Muslim, the government becomes more restrictive. I keep wondering if the Chinese will ever truly become free.

And then there was that quote by a politician when asked about whether the constitution allowed for passage of a health care bill said “are you serious?”
Oh, wait. That wasn’t China.
