I wasn't defending Kaganovich and Yagoda, I was just stating the obvious: that Lenin and later Stalin, two men who were baptized as Christians, were the real demons in charge. Their Christian background is not exactly an important bit of information -- both men, like Kaganovich and Yagoda, had become atheists long before the October Revolution -- but it takes on a certain significance when de-bunking anti-semitic nonsense like "da joooz" being responsible for the Ukrainian terror-famine.
