Favre has impressed the hell out of me.

When that guy gets rattled, he goes downhill pretty fast. The Cards really spanked them a few weeks ago, and tonight he just plain looked panicked.

NFL.com has his qb rating at 104. Magnifying the errors that humans naturally make should not alter the wider view. He's an athlete.

104 is his season QB rating. Tonight, he had a rating of about 74.

If Childress wanted to take Favre out and either couldn’t or didn’t, the coach wasn’t deserving of his paycheck and should probably step aside — especially after being dimed out for his inability to control the team’s star personality in a press conference.

The head coach calls the shots for the team’s game plan, and the QB follows orders, leading the action for the offense between the whistles. It doesn’t work any other way.

People have ups and downs. It's part of being human. Making an assessment from one night could lead to every qb in the league getting cut. He is good, damn good. Bad days happen.

No question about it, he’s good when things are going their way. I don’t follow the game that closely, and have no idea what sort of data, or span of data, is complied to get that 104.

But you can see he’s quick to frustration.

Bad days/nights happen. The stats are an arbitrary compilation of his performance this year. He’s impressed me. This thread reads more like a coaching issue, who is pulling rank, etc.

So true. Brett is still one of the very top QB’s in the NFL.

I think some media writers need to get another life.

The Vikings need to do a better job of protecting him. Also, Petterson needs to get his A game going once again. When the threat of a run is there, passing opens up big time. Brett tears apart a defense. But he can’t do it alone.

Favre will get well against the Bears next Monday night. The Bears stink. And I’m from Chicago.

Favre can’t do it all by himself. Adrian Peterson finished with 35 yards on 12 carries, Cornerback Antoine Winfield struggled, McKinnie could not protect Favre. Childress needs to make an appointment to the Mayo Clinic.

The Carolina running game won the day. Stewart tore their defense apart and I think the Viking db’s weren’t looking forward to confront him.

Odd, but I thought a football team had more than one player on it....................

I was at the game and frankly Julius Peppers was knocking Favre around silly.

If you touch Favre, he comes apart. Carolina was hitting him early and often.

Smells like BS to me — reporters hearing something different from what actually went on. How does a head coach “try” but fail to control who’s on the field?
