Getting a final bill passed into law is still an uphill challenge for Dems. Both bills passed were hairline close and depended on many specific deals and are completely different. Now it is time for Pelosi to sell out her liberal members on public option and abortion.
Already I saw liberal Dem Congressman Elijah E. Cummings (my district MD) on the Morning Joe refusing to demand anything specific be in the final bill(sellout has started, it's all about Obama, Reid, Pelosi) , Now for a few weeks liberals will beat up on their congressman at home for selling out to insurance companies. But they all are in safe seats. Watch the liberal fight as many libs back-track on principle and claim that the goal is to get “Something” passed.
Obama’s plan was always to get two different bills though (by claiming he was on both sides of public option) to claim progress and worry about differences later. But they never thought it would take this long.
