Count me in as well. If I want to root against everything the other side does, I could go to a sporting event. Politics is too important for that. I will give Obama the benefit of the doubt on this one.

Also, isn’t it generally understood that there’s intelligence with a short shelf life, the president as commander in chief has the authority to act?

Congress gave Bush the authority to prosecute war against terrorism and preumably, Obama inherited that authority.

Overall, I still think Obama is a terrible president who is in way over his head. But he may have gotten this one right.

And Bush launched a missile strike from a drone in Yemen in 2002 which killed al Qaida leaders. Congress authorized the president to use military force against terrorists after 9/11.
