I’ve noticed that. I think the roads are narrower too which makes it scarier to drive during rush hour. Lot’s of tire scrapes on the cement median.

Yes, a lot of the roads around here date from horse-and-buggy days so they’re not laid out for modern vehicles. Bridges east of the Mississippi can be lower, too.
