**Civilians in the U.S. have 200 million - 300 million firearms. The Founding Fathers knew the wisdom of providing for a free, armed populace.**

I may upset a lot of people on here but against a well trained military those firearms might as well be slingshots.

As far as I know in Iraq and Afghanistan the enemy has been unable to overwhelm any US units company size or larger. Right now the enemy is better supplied and experienced in working in their units than the average American gun owner. Success for insurgencies pretty much depends on their abilities to win battles and capture better equipment. Because of firepower and better equipment the American forces can do battle with forces that outnumber them ten to one and always come out the victors.

I am sure if things got bad we would get a lot of current military coming over to our side but would we get key people and units? For example if Texas succeeded tomorrow and the Texas National Guard showed up at Fort Hood to take it over they would be a hollow force because other than small arms ammo they wouldn’t have anything to fight with. It is all on the active duty posts and a Fort Sumter today could call in a B-52 attack on their attackers. Key supply and tactical units if in the control of Obama people will ensure their victory.

1776 and 1861 was eras when it took months before the government would move against the rebels. The idea that the federal government would sit around for about a year or so while state governments take over arms depots, train and supply milita and while active duty officers resign to return to fight for their native states is not reasonable.

The next civil war will be Buck and Bubba and their deer rifles vs unmanned predator drones carrying missiles. Bubba might bring down a bighorn sheep at a record distance but his rifle isn’t going to stop some of these up armored vehicles now in the field.

As far as I know the average Freeper don’t have anything that can take down an Apache attack helicopter. In that case knowledge is more important than ammo. Perhaps some patriot used to be a mechanic on the Apache and know that some special bearings has to be replaced every 100 hours of flight. Another patriot learning this information knows the factory where those bearings are made. Maybe it would be an idea target for a force of guerrillas to attack the factory or more likely the patriot might know another patriot who works in the factory and can damage the machinery covertly and put the factory out of business for months resulting in grounding most of the Apaches.

We are dealing with people like William Ayers and friends which I believe can be ruthless in control of our government. We can’t outfight the government so we will have to out think them until we are able to out fight them.

“The thing the most bone chilling thing Bill Ayers said to me was that after the revolution succeeded and the government was overthrown, they believed they would have to eliminate 25 million Americans who would not conform to the new order.” undercover F.B.I. Agent Grathwohl

I wonder, just for arguement mind you, what the blades on an apache are made out of, or the tail rotor for that matter,or the tail rotor gear box, or the skin, or perhaps the transmission. The turbines? The fuel lines?

Pray tell.
