Anyone in NE knows the the guy is a left wing, stuck up his ass rat. But he wins re-election every single time. Besides: it’s going to be 2012 before he has to run again.

Ben Nelson is political toast. Count on it.

My bet is that he does not even run for re-election when the 2010 results are in.

Nelson may be political toast. So may a lot of other 'Rats. But here is the simple truth: they don't care. They are willing to throw as many bodies on the pile as necessary to pass this monstrosity, because they know it is Their Savior's Monument In History. That's all the 'Rats care about: Obama. So they're saying to hell with the polls, to hell with the town hall outrage, to hell with the elections. They're going to do this for Obama and everything else be damned. Remember all the 'Rats who laid down for Clinton? It's the same deal but on steroids for Obama. They know they may very well lose big in the future but this is their Moment and they're going to pass this and make it effectively unrepealable.

The Double D strategy may be our only option short of the AR strategy. And even the first "D" of the DD strategy may be moot because the 'rats appear not to need our tax dollars anymore to implement their schemes. They simply raise the debt ceiling and print more money.
