Can’t we prosecute these guys for taking bribes in return for their vote? There has to be a way. We should have an army of lawyers looking into every aspect of this, just like the Dems.
I don’t think the law considers this bribery - I don’t know that for a fact - I think that this would - and I am not trying to be cynical - be considered to be within their discretion to cast a vote according to their conscience. I think there is a constitutional issue - one state being afforded greater rights than others - I don’t believe that will fly - but I have not seen anything on this yet - but it will become a major topic in the days to come.
I just pray that this farce will be ended soon - we have to get rid of the present majority in congress - and I hope we replace them with principled constitutionalists - neither party impresses me at the moment - the greater ungood is definitely the dems - I just wish the repubs would strongly stand for something. They are getting better - but it seems that there is no cure for Potomac fever.
