Wrong. It will only need a simple majority to pass once it comes out of conference. ... Now that there is no chance of a filibuster

Once a bill emerges from conference, you can't change them. No amendments are allowed. Nor is there time for debate.

You vote for the bill, you vote against the bill, or you filibuster the bill.

Those are your options.

You vote for the bill, you vote against the bill, or you filibuster the bill.

If there is no debate allowed, there is nothing to filibuster. A filibuster is a debate, and in the Senate it takes 60 votes to cut off debate. If there is no debate, there is nothing to vote to cut off.

You are correct, but the conf report in the Senate must get past another cloture vote, which means we have a continued fight ahead.

Simple majority on final passage, but they have to shut off debate with 60 again w conf report. Earlier post is wrong on this.
