That is a little odd. Also odd that it's for something almost 16 years ago. As it says it was someone "under the age of 14" then they'd be 30 (or something less) now.
I sure wouldn't defend any molester, but how would an innocent person possibly defend themselves against a charge that's that old? I wonder if this is one of those "recovered memory" sorts of cases.
