Fatah has attacked Israel as well, so you might want to educate yourself before you bash others.

Assets? “Its main goal, as stated in Article 12 of the official Fatah constitution is the “complete liberation of Palestine, and eradication of Zionist economic, political, military and cultural existence.”

Right, another Islamic “ally” like Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Naive=The Pentagon as they have no idea what the ideology of the enemy even is. Here is one example.

US Maj. Gen. Jeffery Hammond: Islam is a Beautiful Religion

We are not winning this war, the region is less stable then before we got there and our country is more Sharia compliant than before 911.

Fatah is unmanageable if looked at as an institution but is valuable as a player in the game. They are a hedge against Hamas and Hez who are controlled by both Iran and Syria. The best of the bad situation is to have assets that can be managed by both NGO’s and western intelligence agencies. Having no assets on the ground is both dangerous to Israel and to the West in general. The only way to control what goes on in Palestine is to have control over the political situation. You have to have a strong political player like Fatah that will fight Hamas and Hez. This isn’t a nice game that is played by nice rules. Do you know what is going on in Palestine right now? How many foreign agents are being funneled in by Iran? The answer is we don’t have the access to border crossing and arms movements that we use to have. It was more manageable when Arafat was running the show (even though his numbers were mostly lies). Now we have less into than before and Egypt is not as reliable since they do not have the people in the correct places.
