Ray Thomas retired from the Moodies in 2002, and this was their first -- and probably last -- disk without him, an item titled "December". It was the first Moody Blues disk with material written by people from outside the group.

Before Thomas retired, the Moodies played major venues all over the world. Today, when the three remaining members perform, it tends to be in places like Indian casinos.

A sad end to a seminal group.
