Good you’re all stocked up and can just stay in and watch the snow/sleet come down.
I don’t mind driving in snow - (light snow...) but try to never drive when the sleet/freezing rain falls. That’s what we usually get here if anything frozen falls....though I remember a snow of about 16 inches a few years back..maybe 10 years ago....LOL.
Growing up here, we had many Christmases where it was warm to be outside without jackets.
Any snows we got happened in Jan or Feb, not in Dec....
Are your forecasters saying you may get snow on Christmas day?
The Weather Channel has a snow flake on their 10 day forecast for here for Christmas day (possible flurries).
THAT would be a shocker.
My husband said they are predicting snow here Thurs night.
I hope it doesn’t start until we are home from church. lol
We go to church in Raleigh and we had to drive home in a snow storm one year. Not pleasant as the roads between here and there are mostly 2 lane country roads.
Do you remember that big storm over New Year’s sometime late ‘80’s, early 90’s... It was over a foot of snow and then it rained on top of that and everything had a heavy crust on it? All the power lines came down because they were so heavy from being coated with ice, trees were snapping. We were living on a farm then outside of Raleigh and our power was out for three days. We couldn’t get water to the horses, so we had to haul buckets up from the pond. That was quite a storm.
