If anyone proposes this I would break this down into 8 Amendment to that the POS “Supreme Court” cannot say that a US Constitutional Amendment cannot address anymore than one subject.
OH and I would obtain 535 studio apartments next to the Capitol Bldg and I would require that US House and Senate members live there. NO BECOMING PART OF THE “DC” “CULTURE”!

7. From the Constitution: "Section. 6. The Senators and Representatives shall receive a Compensation for their Services, to be ascertained by Law, and paid out of the Treasury of the United States. They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same; and for any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other Place."
sticky --- I agree with the concept, though.
This is all pretty much common sense to me. At this point, I’m disinclined to vote for anyone who wouldn’t make this a centerpiece of their platform.
All eight are GREAT. However there is a big fly in the soup. These can only be enacted via a Constitutional amendment.While the Constitution gives us two way to amend it, only one has been used for over 150 years if ever. Any such amendment has to start in CONGRESS. Do you seriously think any one of those 535 asshats would even propose it, much less a 2/3 majority supporting it.
