Mrs. jimfree and I (residing inside the DC Beltway) have an overnight planned in Rehoboth Beach, DE with an intended departure this afternoon. We’ll be getting snow accumulation there as well and driving home into some deep stuff. Maybe we’ll just stay through Sunday. Haven’t been able to reach her at work to ask if she still wants to go.

Exactly! That nightmare has happened to us several times over the years while attending CPAC or the 2 FReeper inaugural balls for GWB during the winter. It's absolutely incredible to me how everything shuts down even over a "dusting" of snow in the DC area.

If there's more than a dusting, it's nearly suicidal to attempt to drive through the streets of DC and outlying areas - you aren't kidding, eartotheground, about crazy drivers plowing into each other. (I'm from Connecticut, we see lots of snow)

the more snow in DC, the better — has to help the GOP and hurt Reid’s health care marathon schedule in some capacity... what Reid is doing is the most tedious, naked display of sick and irrational power I have ever witnessed. I am hoping that some of the Democratic senators and their staffs get angry as Hell and just say “enough!”
