You sneak into the White House uninvited, it’s a criminal offense. I don’t care who the President is.

I don’t believe that “uninvited” applies to either the Indian dinner crashers or the couple who inadvertently came to breakfast.

First, the party crashers were clearly allowed in on someone’s word. The fact that they were not on the pre-approved list doesn’t mean someone didn’t tell them to “come on in”.

Second, the couple who came a day early for their congressman-led tour of the White House were brought into the presence of “the won” under the authority of White House security. The couple made a mistake by coming a day early, but then they followed orders from the duly appointed authority.

The party crashers might be closer to trespassers - but only because someone high up in the White House doesn’t want to be embarrassed.
