Staffer once claimed to have fathered child of former candidate's mistress
ABC News will air an exclusive interview next month with the man who once claimed to have fathered the child of former Sen. John Edwards' mistress, the network said Wednesday.
ABC News correspondent Bob Woodruff's interview with Andrew Young will air Jan. 29 on "20/20." Young was a longtime friend and aide to Edwards, the Democratic nominee for vice president in 2004.
Young will discuss his upcoming book, "The Politician," an account of Edwards' 2004 campaign and the Rielle Hunter scandal, the network said.
Hunter's video production firm worked for Edwards' political action committee before his second run for the White House, which ended in 2008. In an interview with Woodruff last year, Edwards admitted to an affair with Hunter but denied he had a child with her

A paternity scandal involving the President and his cancer-stricken wife would completely paralyze the Presidency, and he would have no power to push anything thru.
The only scandal involving the Grand Kenyan is his unconstitutionality, something no one cares about.
ABC like the rest of the MSM is years late on this story. In 2004 when Edwards was running for VP the MSM fell all over themselves talking about what a great family man Edwards was. Even in 2008 the MSM covered this up. There were all those stories about Edward’s wife with breast cancer and how great a marriage they had. The National Enquirer finally broke the story.
Now, years later, when it no longer matters ABC has decided to go on the air with this. Who cares anymore?
It it weren’t for Edwards’s endorsement maybe Obama isn’t President. Remember how much the media trumpeted it? How big of a deal it was? How Obama basked in Edwards’ glow?
They all knew
Also, I wonder how Edwards feels about endorsing Obama now that Plouffe has admitted that the Obama camp leaked the $400 haircut story to attack him.
Imagine for a moment folks, John Edwards was considered a leading light in the dem fold, but he didn’t know how to pull out at the right time or use a condom. Wow, what a wunderkind!!!
I’ll bet 75% of the country has NO idea that John Edwards was CHEATING on his SICK WIFE and has a CHILD OUT OF WEDLOCK with his paramour!!

I think that's probably accurate. If you have ever seen "Jay Walking" on the Leno show, you get a sense for how incredibly stupid and uninformed a sizable percentage of Americans seem to be.

you don’t have to endure them. Don’t buy them or when you hear one being discussed on TV...use the remote and shut it out of your life. That’s what we do.
Yup - it’s appalling how stupid people are, as if they are allergic to news and current events.
I was once at the hair salon, and my hairdresser asked another one whether she had heard about some news event. She said she hadn’t, then said about 3 times in a row, “I don’t watch the news. I DON’T WATCH THE NEWS!” You would have thought she was trying to ward off a vampire or something...
My understanding was that the Edwards story was widely rumored before it officially broke.
So... I've wonder if it wasn't a case of Edwards gratefully endorsing Obama because Obama didn't release more than just the haircut story.
Edwards wouldn't have been taken down if it wouldn't be for the National Enquirer.
