When I was in college (many, many moons ago...about 35 years ago to be exact) I took a trip to the Holy Land. We landed in Jordan and then after a few days went to Israel. The security was unbelievable as we passed the border. They took things apart (i.e. hair dryers, cassette recorders, etc.) and handed them back to you in pieces. It was all part of security measures at the time. Shooting the laptop seems a little extreme though.

The gal had pro-pali and pro-Arabic stuff in her possession and computer, and had a leftist blog. Her name no doubt came up on a “question carefully” list. She also no doubt had an attitude toward the guards.

See posts 37, 38, and 51.
