Like you, I only (I shouldn’t say only, it sucked) had the less serious bout of it. Fevers for days, I know what you mean about hurting all over. The coughing. I had a sore throat for WEEKS. Thought it would never go away.
I got the seasonal flu shot, it was all that was available at the time.

I had dinner with my parents and little son last night at a regular restaurant, out in the world (first time in a week). Looking at my loved ones, looking at the Christmas decorations, I was tearing up with joy to be alive.
This flu is scary. I really pooh=poohed it until it hit me.
