No mad eup God here at all. You are in fact the Creation. God help you when you get to meet Him.
I helped rescue a gal from a sado-masochist many years ago, but I couldn’t put her up — it was the Salvation Army who ended up helping her. The “Captain”, as the man was known, he had a big old Victorian in Long Branch NJ and provided a shelter to many many of the strays of life.
Although they are not my religion, I always try and make a significant donation to them.
The Salvation Army is my chosen charity they give more to the needy then all of them. They don’t blow it all on big salaries, etc. Good for them I will now donate even more to them.
No sweetie. I just don’t feel it’s up to me or you to judge what someone else does in their bedroom.
That's probably true; many of the mainstream churches are more concerned with being politically correct than being true to Christ. You know the type, those that say homosexuality is natural and normal and God made it too....
The Salvation Army isn't one of THEM; it is following Christ's commandments every day!
ROFL. But what if He is gay? Oh noes...you’ll be in big trouble then.
Funny how you said "if".
You call people names and then project your sin on others. Hilarious!
I have always found it interesting that the people who claim to understand what Jesus would do in any given situation are the ones who doubt or deny his existence and meaning.
They just view the practice of homosexual behavior as unnatural which it is and we should not endorse such behavior. Which we should not of course.
Oh yes, lets plese not have that moral code. Whaaaa! I don’t want any limits on me, If it feels good, I wanna do it! Liberalism in a nutshell.
when I was in my 20’s, had my first corporate job and was easily intimidated, I allowed myself to be bullied by HR into having money withheld from my tiny paycheck to go to the United Way.
The following year when they made their UW drive, I carefully read the fine print on the card (in which you checked off the charities you wished for your donations to go) and noticed that it basically stated that the UW would consider your choices but THEY would ultimately determine which charities needed the money the most. I gave NOTHING and was even scolded by one of the bullies in HR. I stated my case and she shut up. I have never given to the UW again.
My favorite charities are those which pair guide dogs with wounded veterans. A win/win combination, IMO.
I do try to always have a few bucks available to drop in the SA kettle when I see them.
There is nothing preventing the homos from doing some charity work themselves rather than shooting off their mouths as usual.
We have donated annually for 30 years and my parents before donated too. I passed this on to about 30 people by email and here is a response from a very successful friend who grew up very poor.
“Dittos from the Left Coast. We also donated for many years mainly because of how well I was treated when attending their child day care center in downtown KCMO as a 5-6 year old. Have always had a high respect for the individuals as well as the organization. Extra going in the donation envelope this year as well into their kettles.”
Suave, you are not so. Yes, yes, try ridicule (another lib tactic). Your life here in the US is as good as it is BECAUSE of the morals of society in the past and in spite of them (for the present anyway) now.
What sin is that? And be careful before assuming to know something you don’t.
DUH, The Salvation Army, no church for that matter, or organization, or company, or govt office, or school, or court room, or my home for that matter, are their bedroom either!! Most couldn’t care less what goes on “in the bedroom BETWEEN CONSENTING ADULTS.
2 Timothy 4:2 - Preach the word: be instant in season, out of season: reprove, entreat, rebuke in all patience and doctrine. For there shall be a time when they will not endure sound doctrine but, according to their own desires, they will heap to themselves teachers having itching ears: And will indeed turn away their hearing from the truth, but will be turned unto fables.
I recall when I was in the Navy years ago, they forced us to give to the United Way. Yeah, you heard me right. We were forced to whether we wanted to or not.
Since then, I don’t give ANYTHING to the United Way. Not a single cent. I don’t know if they are crooked, but like another poster states, they give money to a lot of organizations I would be loathe to contribute to, and they keep more money than many others for overhead.
I give freely and often to the Salvation Army. When my brother-in-law’s house burned down on Christmas Eve (before he became my brother-in-law) The Salvation Army was there with cash...free cash, clothes, shelter and food, no strings attached.
Not the Red Cross. Not the United Way. The Salvation Army.
