I agree that several of her programs are going to be bad, but she has done wonders at balancing the budgets in the past years and I don’t think anyone can deny that.
But, with Locke, we would DEFINITELY have a soccer stadium that we don’t need and a complete run on the coffers of the city to cover-up the BS deals that Locke cut to get half these useless stadiums we have NOW!
We would continue to see metro-rail to parts of this city that don’t use them NOW, and won’t use them THEN! These are all things that I felt Locke would do.
It really was a lose-lose situation! So, I voted with my fiscal thought process.
I want to terminate the unelected offices of the Houston Sports Authority. Let those fat cats get a real job and buy their own damned tickets for sporting events. Really now.
I mean it.
PS I voted against the stadiums. Bet many FReepers who oppose the soccer stadium are partly responsible for us being saddled with a billion dollar bill.
