Houston became the largest U.S. city to elect an openly gay mayor, with voters handing a solid victory to City Controller Annise Parker after a hotly contested runoff.
Parker defeated former city attorney Gene Locke with 53.6 percent of the vote Saturday in a race that had a turnout of only 16.5 percent.

What’s more, her green socialist and lavender agenda policies will be a one way door. Once we institute them, there is no going back.

I hope she lives up to the “fiscal conservative” part, but as far as I can tell there is no such critter. Every social “liberal” and “libertarian” ends up wasting taxpayer’s money on “social justice,” etc.
