Global consulting and outsourcing firm Accenture is ending its sponsorship of Tiger Woods, saying the golfer is "no longer the right representative" after the "circumstances of the last two weeks."

Accenture's announcement Sunday marks the company's first statement since allegations of Woods' infidelity surfaced in recent weeks.

The company is the second key sponsor of Woods to pull away. Gillette said Saturday that it won't feature Woods in its ads for an unspecified period of time.

Woods is taking an indefinite leave from golf to work on his marriage after allegations that Woods had trysts with multiple women.

Most of these companies had no real need for Tiger. The executives simply wanted to rub elbows with Tiger and other golf superstars and get invited to golf games and tournies.

Accenture's Corporate slogan: "High Performance. Delivered."

I guess one could argue that Tiger performed both so what are they complaining about.

As the ad in which Tiger is reading the bedtime story says, “Kicked his butt.”

Good! I like Gillette’s products.Even though I’m a girl I like their shampoo (it makes my hair soft and gives it “bounce”)and I like the Fusion battery-powered razor.(It’s easier on my skin than the others). Oh,and their deodorant works quite well, and it smells great!

Accenture is a surviving entity, from
Arthur Andersen CPAs.

Arthur Andersen crumbled when it was learned they were complicit with Enron, keeping phony accounting records, to fool investors, etc.

(yes, I know that Accenture was split off BEFORE Andersen’s demise, but it most likely holds the arrogant culture of Andersen—which was widely known and disliked by most business people)
