Since the Super Bowl last year, I’ve been seeing more and more stuff like that written about Ben Roethlisberger. Several bartenders have been in the press saying that he comes into their bars and expects to drink for free. He even told a reporter that when he goes into a bar, people text their friends and within 20 minutes there will 300 people in the bar - so he thinks he should be comped. He’s making a few enemies on the Pittsburgh bar scene, that’s for sure.

He’s right. He, and anyone with him should drink for free.

If they think not, he should leave and go to the next closest bar. Then the bartender would have lots of room to sweep up and wash glasses.

That's so petty. All he has to do is make the first drink last 20 minutes... then he'll get offered freebies by the fans until closing time.
