I will have the privledge of being at Arlington on Dec 18th when my father’s internment with full honors is scheduled.
A Chicago delivery boy who stepped up on December 8, 1941, he rose in the Army Air Corp to fly 23 missions as pilot of a B-24 Liberator with the 389th Bomb Group. He served in the USAF with distinction for 30 years and retired as a Lt Colonel.
Unfortunately, that generation is quickly leaving us.
May we never forget their sacrifice, for it is because of them that we enjoy the freedoms they defended.
