Actually I found that article to be a bit excuse making and accepting of the left’s premise. For example she fails to note that McCain won a majority of white women. And I believe I heard the other day the Dims have not won a majority of white women in a long time.

The entire article sites specific numbers in recent elections in New Jersey and Virginia to point out how well the GOP did with women, for the purpose of correcting the false premise being pushed by the left (and Politico) that the GOP has a women problem.

From the article:

On November 3, Virginia governor-elect Bob McDonnell won women by eight points, 54-46, against Democrat Creigh Deeds. A year before, Obama had won women by seven points; in his historic campaign to turn the state blue, he relied largely on the educated, affluent, suburban vote McDonnell would recover for the GOP. This information was obscured under the CNN headline, "Male, rural, suburban votes boost McDonnell."

I think you may have missed the point of the article.
