I am appalled at the lack of voices from the real sciences calling people on this climate garbage

The voices are there but are not heard on the MSM. The political far left and the MSM have become a corrupt ruling class.

"The press" of the founding era consisted of numerous fractiously independent printers whose business was, like the radio talk show host today, primarily about publishing their own perspective on news. Lacking the telegraph, they didn't necessarily have dramatically faster access to news than the general public had. Most newspapers were weeklies.

The telegraph and the Associated Press changed the business model of the newspaper. Suddenly, the newspaper was about "news" - and the newspaper had an interest in your believing reports of the AP newswire originated by other newspapers. "The press" has not been independent since. And that is why we have homogeneous leftism coming from all news sources.

Thanks for your correction about me calling the fourth estate the third estate. My fingers were faster than my brain. But the press is damn well a fifth column.
