Notice how government is EXPANDING to start poaching into people’s lives. It is coming to a point where some nameless bureaucrat is now getting to decide what sort of business you should be doing, who you do business with and where you can put your money.
The long arm of the IRS is now extending beyond American shores as well.
I swear to you, I will vote of ANYONE who will make it his/her policy to SIMPLIFY our tax code and DOWNSIZE the IRS.
Amen and I say TAX REVOLT!
>I swear to you, I will vote of ANYONE who will make it his/her policy to SIMPLIFY our tax code and DOWNSIZE the IRS.
My solution:
Either a flat 10% across-the-board income tax w/ no deductions/loopholes/exceptions [EXCLUSIVE] OR a 5% national/federal sales-tax.
[NOTE: Income tax would be applicable to PEOPLE only, not corporations or churches or the like.]
The sales tax would be the best, IMO, because that would be a valid use of the interstate commerce clause. {It could legally only be applied to items bought in another state; so if a french-fry company in OK buys potatoes from Idaho, there’s a tax... and when McDonald’s in CA buys those fries there’s a tax.}
