I thought it would be self explanatory, I guess it is all new to you, so:
Fundamentalists are people who held to the basic fundamentals of Bible doctrines that were explained in that book I sent you the link to.
That is where the term came from, right from the start. R.A.Torry compiled the works of the men, titled the series THE FUNDAMENTALS and people who thought he was right were called Fundamentalists.
Just a little history, sorry it went over yor head. :)
There are constitutionalists who are fundamentalists!!!
There are scientist who are fundamentalists!!!
There are capitalists and communists who are fundamentalists!!!
And even within religion there are far more than just christian fundamentalists who write and read books about fundamentalism!!! Muslim fundamentalists, Hindu fundamentalists, Scientology fundamentalists, Jewish fundamentalists, etc., etc., etc...
Your scope of fundamentalism is far too narrow and quite prejudicial if you ask me. So don't stick a book by some christian fundamentalists in my face with a hyperlink and expect me to assume that you are correct and that fundamentalism is a bad thing for FR to be connected with just because somebody wrote a book about christian fundamentalism and that turns you off!!!
And now, back to the FRiendly commentary about a happy FR service that we all know and love...
