Both of the approaches you suggest (Supreme Court action or Constitutional amendment) are fine with me.

What I reject is the idea of outlawing abortion by something like an executive order.

This kind of Emancipation Proclamation for the Unborn is something I would welcome with tears of joy.

Why?

Please point out the part of the Constitution which indicates that the Supreme Court has the authority to declare something unconstitutional, but that the President or Congress does not.
