a difference between wanting Roe v. Wade repealed and being pro-life

Would like to hear you expand on that.

I am opposed to abortion but I believe it can best be ended by working from the ground up, changing hearts one at a time, and returning the legislative control of this issue to the states.

The polls show that public opinion is changing, and abortion mills are closing every year.

There seem to be a lot of Freepers who think we can short cut this through the political process, but when I press them they are always short on specifics.

distinguish between the terms evolutionist and Darwinist

I reject "Darwinism" as it applies to recorded human history. There is no evidence that I'm any more intelligent or any more ethical than the average ancient Egyptian, medieval Frenchman, or Cro-Magnon cave painter.

But I do think the basic concept of natural selection as it applies to the formation of animal and plant species is completely sound.

My personal opinion is that the history of life on Earth may indeed have been guided by a creator. But the evidence in the ground would then lead to the conclusion that that creator took a billion or so years to do so, and left a lot of false starts along the way.

I'll take a stab at that.

Repealing Roe v. Wade merely restores the status quo antebellum, and I use that word intentionally.

Without Roe v. Wade, we would still see massive blue states like California and New York free to keep abortion legal.

And we both know the abortion industry has bought and paid for more than enough politicians to accomplish that.

Repeal of Roe v. Wade is, I would argue, necessary but not sufficient to being Pro-Life.

Whoops. That should say:

Repeal of Roe v. Wade is, I would argue, necessary but not sufficient to being purely Pro-Life.

So, YOU believe it's wrong, but you believe that others should make up their own minds?

There seem to be a lot of Freepers who think we can short cut this through the political process, but when I press them they are always short on specifics.

Extend personhood rights to all.

As far as Darwinism, I am far more concerned with the evil eugenics agenda of the Darwinists and their desire to impose atheism on the population than I am with their unproven theories.
