Yeah. That is probably why I get so worked up when people make it about a “church” or denomination, instead of about Jesus.
I have been out (of the LDS)for almost 17 years now and I was lucky to have been found so soon after leaving. I know some who struggled for 20 years or more between leaving the LDS and coming to Christ.
My relationship with the Lord surpasses everything else, even my marriage.
DH says he thinks I might forgive adultery, but I could never forgive him if he became Mormon. He also says he isn’t going to do either, and I believe him. I am very lucky to be married to a godly man who loves the Lord with all his heart, and loves me next.
