That summation of the American people that created this nation says a lot about you and your views.
Social conservatives created this nation, fought for it and started losing their grip on it as the 20th century came along, the anti social conservatives gained the upper hand over the last 80 years and have even managed to destroy our American culture and value system over the last 50 years.
The war in America is between the left and right, or to say it another way, the social conservatives and the anti social conservatives.
Which people do you vote along side in elections?

neither would there first five children who were conceived and then born in a matter of minutes on the Sixth Day of Creation. The nine month gestation period which calls for the umbilical cord was a punishment for Eve's sin. Now THIS is a new one!
Why do sinless ANIMALS have long gestation periods and umbilical cords?

Totally understand that. My wife and don’t always agree on really important stuff either....
Thanks for the reply, you have been busy tonight.

Ever had to take notes in a post graduate religion class?
- - - - - -
I have, several in fact.
I use the chi/rho symbol as shorthand in my notes (that is the P with the x over it for lurkers who do not know).
But I only ever use it in my notes, and never when typing to a Christian because most do consider it disprespectful.
Similarly, I leave the “o” out of G_D, when typing to someone who is Jewish.

I would go so far as to say that it was opinions like yours that turned Darwin away from organized religion, but not away from his belief in a Creator. Then you would be wrong...
On that we have Darwins own word. On religious matters he said,
I found it more and more difficult, with free scope given to my imagination, to invent evidence which would suffice to convinced me. Thus disbelief crept over me at a very slow rate, but was at last complete. The rate was so slow that I felt no distress.

"And yet, an oddity such as a steering oar could be a useful contraption for a minuscule fluid-dwelling organism."
"Maybe; if it knew where it was steering to!"
Apparently, it had some primitive senses about that. Ian Musgrave mentioned that one species used Brownian Motion to adjust its heading, before activating its motor again.
In Rhodobacter sphaeroides, the genes equivalent to MotA and MotB have only 19% sequence identity, so it is not clear if these proteins are divergent modifcations of the ancestral MotA MotB or convergent evolution of an unrelated motor(11,13). The Rhodbacter motor doesn't switch as does the other motors, but turns on and off, and re-orientation is via brownian motion
It's an interesting article, not very long, and fairly understandable.

Get serious. Hasan certainly is a terrorist, but Charles Darwin wasn't. I would go so far as to say that it was opinions like yours that turned Darwin away from organized religion, but not away from his belief in a Creator. Charles Darwin was WORSE than any terrorist - he turned future generations against the Creator, and totally ruined pure science - just look at the anti-God dreck that has passed for science over the last century!

My post has nothing to do with the Sons of Perdition....I am talking about those who say they are Christian but have no patience for those who are struggling with their faith.
I didn't say it did!? Who are those who you seem to think are struggling with their faith? That would be a good start.
Are you using the word 'struggle' to suggest 'searching' or defying Scripture?
I have witness many time scriptures are used as a weapon to beat another over the head if they dont comply according to the version one is trying to imposed on another.
You mean like you did to me?
To: Elsie
Lol I like your sense of humor.

"On that we have Darwins own word."Let's use those. The concluding sentence of the Origin of Species is as follows:
"There is grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed by the Creator into a few forms or into one; and that, whilst this planet has gone circling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being evolved."
