Seems to be a lot more Navy guys around here.
“I often wonder what kinds of other things go on at the other Academys. All these cadets are challenged and can accomplish things that we would never think of.”
Well lets see. The Navy First Captain used her Feminine wiles to lure our West Point First Captain to a meeting, to discuss ‘proper behaviour’ prior to the game. They tied him up, threw him in a van, and drove him to Maryland.
Some West Point Cadets in I-2 stole the goat when I was there...so the next year the chicken shi’ite Navy got the Seals to go steal a mule...they broke a stable hand’s arm.
After that, it got toned down a bit.
I know. Somebody get AOG on the phone. Never don’t know how many Freepers are Old Gray Line guys. I always figured it was best to keep the military and political topics on this site seperate to keep at least distance between the military and politics.
don’t = did
In my time it was a bus ride at O-dark thirty on game day.
I always look forward to the Army-Navy game. It has not for many years been for the National Championship, and they are not the two most talented teams taking the field on any given Saturday. But both teams play as if it were their last day on Earth, and you can be sure that nobody is kissing the players’ a*ses to get them through school.
I’ve always wanted to go to one in person but thought it would be too much of a hassle, since the President is always there and all.
The squids made a big deal of how the leaflets didn't hit the lunch formation dead on but I liken that to liberals finding fault with Beck's wardrobe rather than his logic.
Your typical rivalry week tricks involving the plebes sneaking into exchange (select midshipmen/cadets spend a semester at a sister academy) cadets' rooms and steal their clothes (often only leaving a uniform belonging to the smallest female). A good one I saw involved an Air Force cadet spending a semester at West Point having his entire room moved outside and arranged in the same way it was indoors.
Go Navy!
The Navy will beat Army like a rented mule.
Beat the little girly men from West Point.
Regardless of the rankings, THE college football game of the year.
EVERY year....
Although Dad passed away last year, we’ll be keeping the family tradition of much drinking and cheering/yelling during this game...
For Dad (Vietnam Vet, Officer & Proud SeaBee...)
GO NAVY!
The president’s only goes every four years or so. Bush was there in 04 and 08 and the only other one I remember is Clinton in 96. I would recommend it.
I may be about three weeks away from signing a contract for Army OCS. So this is the first year I'm paying close attention to this game.
Gonna make the decision over the holidays.
GO NAVY ... BEAT ARMY!
Hey. Another year has passed.
There’s an F-4 on static display outside the USAFA chapel. 2 mids on an exchange semester painted it in Blue Angels colors.
GO NAVY!!! BEAT ARMY!!!
