A Tennessee woman is learning to walk again after she came down with a deadly nerve disease only eight days after receiving the swine-flu vaccine.
Clarksville resident Suzanne Hogan is recovering at Vanderbilt University Medical Center's Stallworth Rehabilitation Center from Guillain-Barre Syndrome, or GBS, an illness she believes is associated with the H1N1 vaccination.
GBS attacks the lining of the nerves, causing paralysis and inability to breathe, and can be fatal. Symptoms may include "pins and needles" sensations in fingers and toes; weakness or tingling in legs and upper body; inability to walk; difficulty with eye movement, facial movement, speaking, chewing or swallowing; severe lower back pain; difficulty with bladder control or intestinal functions; very slow heart rate or low blood pressure; difficulty breathing; choking on saliva and even complete paralysis of legs, arms and breathing muscles over the course of a few hours.

A person related to a co-worker of mune by marriage came down with GBS a couple of months ago. He is not doing weel at all. The first question I asked her was if he had recently hada flu vaccination. Even a dolt like me knew there is a link between the two. I think I’d rather take my chances of getting the flu.
Hmmmm....fiance and I got our H1N1 yesterday. I guess I’ll let you know how I am in 7 days ;)
Absolute insanity to take these shots. Most sheeple don’t know any better however. Very similar symptoms to MS.
That's the same response when people have died, not of H1N1, but of pneumonia, heart failure, diabetes, or ingrown toenails.
People should do what they think is best, but I haven't had a flu shot in my entire adult life and I don't get the flu (seasonal colds once in a while, but no flu). Many who I know who get their flu shot every year still end up with the flu, so I'm not convinced that the potential good outweighs the potential bad.
All this risk for a flu that has proven to be the least lethal flu in recorded history! (0.026% mortality)
And not only is this flu extremely mild, but it is also rare. There are probably more cases contracted from the vaccine than by natural means.

Yup. And not only from vaccines, but surgery, even stomach flu. The good news is it is highly treatable with 100% recovery if caught soon enough.
The flu can trigger it too.
My wife contracted it a few years ago, following surgery. The road back with therapy is slow, though.
That stuff kicked in quick...Sheesh...Those idiots were told to put 4 year tick delay in the mix.

The Swine Flu vaccine of 1976 was alleged to have caused the same disorder. During that season (76-77) there were 550 cases nationwide. Half of them had had received the vaccine, half hadn’t. My ICU had the same number of cases of GBS in 76-77 as it did in 77-78.

In 1976, vaccination with the swine flu vaccine was associated with getting GBS. Several studies have been done to evaluate if other flu vaccines since 1976 were associated with GBS. Only one of the studies showed an association. That study suggested that one person out of 1 million vaccinated persons may be at risk of GBS associated with the vaccine.
