U.S. Negotiator Dismisses Reparations for Climate
New York Times ^ | December 10, 2009 | Andrew C. Revkin, Tom Zeller Jr

COPENHAGEN — The top American envoy to climate talks here flatly rejected arguments Wednesday by diplomats from poor lands that the United States owes a debt to developing nations for decades of American emissions that contributed to global warming.

It was not the first time that the American negotiator, Todd D. Stern, had dismissed the notion. But his words highlighted the divide that persists between the poor and the wealthy as nearly 200 nations try to sketch the outlines of a new pact on climate change here.

Asked about arguments by diplomats and some protesters that the United States should provide hundreds of billions of dollars in aid to developing nations as reparations, Mr. Stern, the special envoy for climate change, bluntly fired back at a news conference.

“I actually completely reject the notion of a debt or reparations or anything of the like,” he said. “For most of the 200 years since the Industrial Revolution, people were blissfully ignorant of the fact that emissions caused a greenhouse effect. It’s a relatively recent phenomenon.”

At the same time, he made clear that the United States was prepared to join other industrialized countries both in cutting their own greenhouse gas emissions and in giving aid to the poorest and most vulnerable countries to deal with rising seas, drought and other phenomena that are expected to worsen as the planet warms.

Mr. Stern also demurred at a persistent proposal among some larger developing countries that the United States and other major emitters of long standing provide financial aid to emerging economic powerhouses, particularly China, to shift to cleaner energy technologies.

Climate Change Criminal Conspiracy Continues

What this article does is enforce the certaintude that CO2 causes global warming. The NYT is also obfuscating the summit thoughts by throwing trash in the way. The summit thought is that Climate Change as we know it is bogus and part of the agenda of Globalists to establish private rule over the world. This article is not worthy of print and the biggest conspiracy ever goes unreported.

What we see here because of the illumination of looking down from the summit thoughts is the New York Times being part of the Climate Change Criminal Conspiracy.

Alex Jones is still the chief infowarrior in my book and he makes the NYT look dark by comparison to his reporting. TheAlexJonesChannel at YouTube put up the interview of Tim Ball, the meterologist out of Canada=
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1XXZ1CCMpw

As the draft treaty is brought forward, a bait and switch is clear where the IMF and World Bank step to the top of power. This is the 13-page PDF file of the show part of the agreement at Scribd: http://www.scribd.com/doc/23831690/Copenhagen-Climate-Change-Agreement and is also up at http://www.infowars.com/draft-copenhagen-climate-change-agreement-the-danish-text/

But the more vital news came from Patrick Henningsen in Copenhagen. The explosive part of the agreement is in the 186-page addendum known as the Danish text. The Guardian reports on the Danish text here: http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2009/dec/08/copenhagen-climate-summit-disarray-danish-text The addendum pushes the UN aside and the IMF and World Bank are the clear would-be CO2 dictators of the world under a Copenhagen agreement.

This is the written report of Patrick Henning at Infowars=

Query to self:Why did the inclusion of the word “honkey” make me laugh, I wonder?

I’d tell other countries that anyone who asks for “reparations” from the US will receive no more foreign aid, be it in security or economic matters of any sort and any favored trade agreements will be canceled.

Let them suck on that.

It's a recent fraud and people should be going to jail for it.

I'm sure this is not the last of it. AGW people opened one big can of worms here, regardless of how true (or false) the theory is.
