The Obama administration reportedly is talking with Pakistan about expanding the program from Waziristan to Baluchistan, a controversial move since it is outside the tribal areas near the Afghanistan border.

It's good to hear that somebody in the current administration has grasped the fact that we've been without a diplomatic component to this war since last January. The enemy aren't stupid - if we offer them a sanctuary they're going to take it. And there is no real compelling reason other than sanctuary for either Zawahiri or bin Laden to be in the area. Find them, fix them, destroy them. Apologize later.
