Why you Should Care (yes about TW)
TW Foundation Welcome letter ^ | self

Letter Taken From Tiger from http://www.tigerwoodsfoundation.org/

Dear friends,

From early childhood, I dreamed of being the world’s best golfer. I worked hard and applied my family’s values to everything I did. Integrity, honesty, discipline, responsibility, and fun: I learned these values at home and in school, each one pushing me further toward my dream.<./b>

It was over 10 years ago that my father and I began with the idea of bringing our family motto of “caring and sharing” to the rest of the world. In those days, we traveled the country holding junior golf clinics and encouraging kids to dream big and set specific goals to make those dreams a reality.

Throughout the years, I’ve had the opportunity to meet thousands of children across the country, and all of them share one common bond: they all dream about their futures. As a result, I learned that success on the course was only part of what I wanted to achieve. In 1996, my father and I established the Tiger Woods Foundation to inspire youth, because I believe in passing on the values I received from my parents and teachers.

I can proudly say more than 10 million young people have been touched by the Tiger Woods Foundation. Through character development programs, scholarships, grants, junior golf teams, and the Tiger Woods Learning Center, the Foundation is helping young people reach their goals.

Please take a look around our website and learn more about our programs and events, the young people we’ve worked with and the sponsors who make it all possible. Thanks for visiting. I hope you’ll join us as we work to make a real difference for millions of kids.

Sincerely,

Tiger Woods

Go look at it http://www.tigerwoodsfoundation.org/

Kids look up to tiger and personally I wouldn’t want to answer their questions re:tigers bad behavior..

After reading this letter if any of you cannot understand why you should care....I don't know about your values

“...applied my family’s values to everything I did. Integrity, honesty, discipline, responsibility....”

Thus spoke Lion Cheetah Woods.

If the kids have reached their goals, what’s the problem?

Hey, I miss Texas...moved to Flor-i-duh 4 years ago. Weirdest state I have ever seen, pretty though...

Just had to say it....

Good for you creating a foundation to take care of kids. Excellent work.

I still cannot raise much interest in, nor concern for, yet another celebrity who can't seem to keep his Johnson where it belongs.

Maybe you can change the name to capitalize on another American icon. I hear they're a dime a dozen. Perhaps the president usurper-in-chief.

Tiger is toast. Best thing we can do at this point is make him out as a paragon of talent wasted -- much the same as the terrible example of Michael Vick.

Kids look up to tiger and personally I wouldn’t want to answer their questions re:tigers bad behavior.

This questions need to be answered, and personally, I don't mind doing it.

One of the biggest problems with this country -- people do not define bad behavior and demonstrate that actions have consequences -- for the individual, their family, their friends, their business, and others who depend on them.

Makes me wonder how many companies are going to continue to push Roids' ugly face on their products toward children and young adults.

When you teach your kids to worship a man (athlete, celebrity, politician, or even religious leader), they’re bound for disappointment.

Dear seeker41,

“After reading this letter if any of you cannot understand why you should care....I don't know about your values”

If either of my children had previously idolized Mr. Woods, I might care more. But they didn't.

Both my sons appreciated his golf ability, but not much more.

Athletes aren't seen as heroes or role models in our home.

As I have gotten a little older, I have learned my lesson. If you cannot trust a person and they are a liar, I have no use for them. Eldrick (his real name) violated his wife’s trust endless times while portraying this wonderful image.
Same hype and spin that helped elect Obama - who will destroy your country.

It is pretty sad that some FR’ers here are making excuses for Tiger aka Eldrick. Really pathetic.

LOL! Just thinking that he has two names Eldrick and Tiger like someone names Barry Soetero and Barrack Obama.

I know I have sent emails to several sponsors asking them to withdraw support...time will tell! Sadly, (some, not all) men and women see TW’s infidelity quite differently...It is just another sign of the times, just like clinton and zero.

My Dad was always disapointed with my choice of favorite sports heros, but he was a Green Bay Packer fan.

I’d feel different if Tiger had concentrated more on his golf lie instead of “laying” a dozen females! Fine and dandy that he gave back to the community with various foundations but if you have the morals of an alley cat all the good deeds in the world seem to pale in comparision.

Understood.

And the other companies that hawk Cheetah to children and young adults?

Are they going to "stand by" this jerk?

I hear you, and sent emails out to the companies as well.

If he is still on anything worth buying next year, then I will be surprised.

The companies may be out there denying everything in public, but I know that in private these guys are scrambling to get Roids' ugly face off their products.

They KNOW that American mothers are the backbone of consumer spending, and they KNOW that they are pissed off at the mere sight of Cheetah Roids.

Like I said, I would be surprised if they kept his ugly face on the products this time next year.

I will keep emailing them!

There are reliable sources claiming that Tiger is not just eating Wheaties. Names mentioned include Frosted Flakes, Lucky Charms and Trix.

We may be dealing with a cereal cheater.

Oh, please.

While it may be laudable that a mutli million dollar athlete started a foundation to help kids, the fact he can't keep his wanker in his pants speaks louder about his 'values'.

After all, anything he gives to any charitable organization is tax-deductable.

Maybe you and your values should visit a mirror before you childishly deride someone for theirs in an attempt to guilt them into agreeing with you.
