Obama's carbon commissars
NY Post ^ | December 10, 2009 | Editorial

Who needs Congress to help govern America? Not the Obama administration, it seems.

At the UN Climate Control conference in Copenhagen yesterday, Environmental Protection Agency head Lisa Jackson said that she wants to work with Congress to contain carbon emissions that her agency claims are "dangerous."

"This is not an either/or moment. This is a both/and moment," Jackson said.

Consider that the velvet glove covering the administration's extremist fist -- which had itself been revealed a day earlier in Washington.

An Obama staffer -- speaking anonymously, of course -- told Fox News: "If [Congress doesn't] pass [emissions-control] legislation . . . the EPA is going to have to regulate in this area. And it is not going to be able to regulate in a market-based way, so it's going to have to regulate in a command-and-control way."

THE CONSTITUTION DID NOT GIVE THE EPA A SPOT TO LEGISLATE!

These people are pretty brave to be risking their physical safety in pursuit of raw political power. Either that or they are totally unaware of the sentiments brewing just under the surface of our increasingly-fragile society.

I'll admit that I used to think the tea party motto "No taxation without representation" was pretty silly, since we had representation albeit incompetent and/or incoherent at times. However, this principle is now in play.

The people have spoken through representatives that CO2 regulation is not desired. The EPA, with consent of the Supreme Court, has seized unlimited power to regulate without our consent. I say unlimited because there is practically no activity we can do without producing CO2 (none if we count breathing).

I just wonder when the morons in Congress will stop celebrating their “victory mandate” long enough to realize that the buttclown they are worshipping has stripped them of their power through all the Czars and giving Federal authority to agencies (such as the agency that shut down American businesses/car lots).

I consider myself pretty passive with regard to getting involved in politics, though I’m a definite conservative.

I figure, that if I’M THIS FRIGGIN’ ANGRY...then there must be tens of millions of other Americans even MORE angry at what is going on here.

Why aren’t Obama’s polls tanking?

I fear the consequences when the full realization finally hits America. People are suffering terrible angst and it will be expressed. The question is, how?

If they implement CO2 regulations, that will give every US citizen standing to sue the EPA or any person or business emitting CO2.

Human "exhale" contains 40,000 PPM of CO2. We can sue Nancy Pelosi for exhaling, assuming the regulation will be much stricter that 40,000 PPM.

Better yet, get her out of office, and she will exhale less.

Since we are carbon-based life forms, we’re all targeted for destruction, and will soon be sequestered in the ground.

If the EPA tries to implement command and control over US businesses they should expect strong resistance. I would like to see some EPA bureaucrat who shows up at some farm or ranch to collect the cow fart tax being lead off the property at gun point.
