The Sears in Cherry Valley, IL (target of a recent terrorist threat) is an anchor, along with other legacy stores (JC Penney and Macy's). They are holding their own in both hardware and appliances.

Certainly, some of Sears' subsidiaries don't hurt. And they bailed on Borders before it became a problem. K-Mart may have to be kept
