Marc Lamont Hill — Back at Fox
David Horowitz's NewsRealblog ^ | 9 December, 2009 | Ben Johnson

Posted on 12/09/2009 6:33:32 AM PST by Michael van der Galien

He’s ba-aaack. Or at least, he seems to be.

Bill O’Reilly’s impact segment on tonight’s edition of “The O’Reilly Factor” featured a discussion about providing health care for illegal immigrants between O’Reilly and none other than Marc Lamont Hill. As I noted on October 16, Cliff Kincaid of Accuracy in Media (AIM) reported Fox News had fired Marc Lamont Hill. Hill later confirmed this to The Huffington Post.

The firing occurred after David Horowitz revealed Hill’s admiration of Assata Shakur, a cop-killer who fled for refuge to Castro’s Cuba. Kincaid then devoted a number of articles to Hill’s heroes, including Louis Farrakhan, Mumia Abu Jamal, and Fidel Castro.

(NewsReal’s extensive coverage of Hill’s pro-cop-killer radicalism continues here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here.) As Kincaid pushed Rupert Murdoch about Hill’s radicalism at NewsCorp’s annual meeting, Murdoch stated Hill had been “fired” the previous week.

If Hill has returned to Fox’s airwaves, Fox is the poorer for it.

Is he employed by Fox, or is Bill O’Reilly just so clueless that he invited him on as a guest?

Whichever it is, whenever I see Hill, I change channels immediately.

Me too, likewise for Ellis Hennigan and Bob Beckel.

I believe O'Reilly probably invited him on. For wahtever reason, O'Reilly likes the guy and believes he somehow adds to O'Reilly's "fair and balanced" projection.

O'Reilly cannot help but know of the clear assocaitions of this man and that he invites this particular man on to try and project fair and balanced is, IMHO, a travesty.

Marc Lamont Hill is part and parcely of Barack Obama and an unapologetic supporter and promoter of Obama...even believes, IMHO, that Obama isn't doing enough to destroy America.

Hill is a fast talking ,liberal, “know-it-all” and I, too, change the channel whenever I see his mug turn up on TV.

You noticed that, too, eh? I can’t stand the snotty little puke. I’d rather watch the toe sucker than that weasel.

We shouldn’t be afraid of other points of view. Shutting people up is what the other side does. We’re better than that.

Fox is drifting to the left more and more each day... and it has been for two years or more.

As frustrating as it is most times to listen to Beckel, he is entertaining, for two reasons:

1) I picture him writing a check, and I chuckle

2) He is reasonable at times. Really.

This is FoxNews whoring out to maintain the appearance of balance by retaining this militant with a pleasant demeanor. Hill's webpage and other internet presence under his control have been cleansed. Hill is smart enough to know when to cash in and Fox is availing themselves of his services.

Also bet Lou Dobbs will never get a Fox News show though he will appear occasionally as a guest. FoxNews is very shrewd about how White and how Conservative they appear.

I agree, besides, allowing Hill to talk let's people see just how extreme some of the "progressive" nutjobs are.

Whose afraid of his view? No one here I suspect, we're just repulsed by it.

I think O'Reilly had him on for two reasons:

1. O'Reilly is playing with him and Hill is too stupid to realize it.

2. For all the obsequious ass-kissing Hill has routinely given to Obama, "O" just isn't acting out the Socilaist- Communist angle quite the way Hill has wanted it, and O'Reilly got him to complain about it and whine on national TV!

OK so he's no longer a paid commentator by Fox and O'Reilly makes him his play toy. I can go for that.

I think I did actually hear Beckel be reasonable once (He was pushing some book he had written with a pretend conservative). Unfortunately, my BS tolerance is very low and there is just way too much of it coming out of those 3.
